From the Piton Sec area (1855 m), we walk along a charming path leading to the Trous Blancs craters, aged around 6000 years and whose lava flows reached St Pierre on the south coast. Through pasturelands, we climb towards the Nez de Boeuf (2136 m), viewpoint for the impressive Remparts river. We then walk along the rempart towards Piton Textor and turn off shortly before to reach the - sometimes dry - Argamasse lake (2060 m). Return to the Piton Sec area, amidst the pastures and cows and facing the majestic Piton des Neiges massif.
Around 5-6 h walking, +550 m et -550 m
