Alizés Montagnes prepares your hiking holiday and takes care of the bookings (accommodation, transports, visits...).
All our tours are led by a qualified mountain leader (French State diploma and part of UIMLA).
In our formulae:
- nights are spent in lodges (gîtes) or refuge (mostly in dorms, sometimes double or twin rooms can be arranged), or in set camps. It is possible to alternate with a few nights in guesthouses and/or hotels.
- the picnics (cold meals) are organised by the mountain leader. The dinners (traditional Creole cuisine) and breakfasts are prepared by the lodge or refuge personnel.
- transfers, if they re needed, are made either by public transport or via a private company. If you form a small group and choose treks that have the same start/end point, you may find it more appropriate to rent your own vehicle (price, autonomy).
- your hiking backpack contains your individual equipment for the day or for several days depending on your choice of trek or hiking tour.
- depending on the length of the trek, your extra luggage can be transferred to certain places to allow you to switch to clean clothing.
Our service comprises the organisation and provides for you to be accompanied during your stay on Reunion Island.
Regarding the additional services (accommodation, meals, transports...), we communicate the prices to you and ask for a cash advance to pay the various service providers on your behalf.
Covid-19 information
In the context of the current pandemic, the dorms in the lodges (gîtes) or refuge must be occupied by a formed group (no mixing of various groups), with a minimum of participants. For example, a dorm with 4 beds has to be occupied by 2 persons minimum, a dorm with 6 beds by 3 persons minimum etc.
Should this minimum not be met, we would only be able to book by paying for the non occupied beds.
When the minimum number of persons is reached, one must count around 50-55 €/pers/night for half-board, or sometimes more for higher end accommodation.
